Just Rock the Runway was founded by Shelita White—entrepreneur, author, creative leader, and proud mom of three—who has dedicated her career to helping young people build confidence through the arts. As the founder of Just Rock Enterprises and a member of the Recording Academy, Shelita has spent years creating programs that use music, performance, and creative expression to inspire confidence and personal growth in youth and communities.

 

With a background that includes runway modeling and years of experience working with students through arts education, Shelita understands the power that stage presence, mentorship, and creative exposure can have on a person’s self-esteem and life trajectory. Her passion for empowering others led her to create Just Rock the Runway, a program designed to help individuals ages 5 and up develop confidence, poise, and self-expression through runway training and creative experiences.

 

Through Just Rock the Runway, participants gain exposure to fashion designers, fashion shows, industry professionals, and confidence-building workshops, while also developing life skills that support success in school, friendships, family life, and mental well-being. Shelita’s vision is to use the runway as a platform for empowerment—creating opportunities for youth and seniors alike to discover their voice, embrace their individuality, and walk confidently into their future both on and off the runway.
